What is Emzek Academy?

Emzek Academy is Malaysia's Shariah Wealth Education Centre and a division of Emzek Sdn Bhd (ESB). We provide preparatory training for Islamic finance certifications, including the Islamic Financial Planner™ (IFP®) and Shariah RFP, and our flagship Shariah Wealth Planner (SWP) programme has helped over 500 professionals achieve a 90%+ exam passing rate.

Is Emzek Academy a certification body?

No. Emzek Academy provides preparatory training only. The IFP® and Shariah RFP certifications are awarded by IBFIM, FPAM and MFPC upon successful completion of their respective examinations. Emzek Academy's role is to prepare candidates to pass those examinations.

What is the Islamic Financial Planner (IFP®) certification?

The Islamic Financial Planner™ (IFP®) is a professional certification for Shariah-compliant financial planning, awarded by IBFIM. It is recognised by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the Securities Commission (SC) and covers Shariah principles, risk management and Takaful, Islamic investment, and estate planning.

Shariah RFP (Registered Financial Planner) is a Shariah-compliant financial planning certification pathway recognised by the Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC). It is delivered in modules, culminating in a Capstone module that integrates the Shariah financial planning process.

What is the Shariah Wealth Planner (SWP) programme - is it a certification?

The Shariah Wealth Planner (SWP) is Emzek Academy's flagship preparatory course, not a certification itself. It is designed to prepare participants for the IFP® Challenge Status examination and the Shariah RFP Capstone module, covering Shariah foundations, case studies, and practical financial plan construction.

What is the difference between IFP® and Shariah RFP?

IFP® (Islamic Financial Planner™) is awarded by IBFIM, while Shariah RFP (Registered Financial Planner) is recognised by the Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC). Both certify competency in Shariah-compliant financial planning, but they are issued by different bodies and follow different module structures. Many professionals pursue both, and Emzek Academy's SWP programme prepares candidates for the IFP® Challenge Status exam and the Shariah RFP Capstone.

Do I need prior experience to join the IFP® Challenge Status programme?

The Challenge Status pathway is designed for professionals who already have relevant industry experience in financial services and wish to sit the IFP® examination directly after a focused preparatory course. If you are new to the industry, the IFP® Full-Fledged 4-Module Program may be a better starting point. Contact our team via WhatsApp and we can recommend the right pathway for your background.

Are Emzek Academy's classes online or face-to-face?

It depends on the programme. The IFP® Challenge Status and most Shariah RFP modules are delivered online via Zoom in half-day sessions. The Shariah Wealth Planner (SWP) programme is face-to-face, and the Shariah RFP Capstone is hybrid, combining online sessions with physical classes. Check each programme page for its specific mode and schedule.

What is the passing rate for Emzek Academy graduates?

Emzek Academy graduates achieve an average passing rate of over 90% on the IFP® and Shariah RFP examinations, significantly higher than industry averages.

How much do Emzek Academy's programmes cost?

Fees vary by programme, ranging from around RM 1,400 for a single Shariah RFP module to RM 9,590 for the full IFP® Full-Fledged 4-Module Program. The flagship Shariah Wealth Planner (SWP) programme is RM 3,200 and is HRD Corp claimable. Visit our Programs page for current pricing on each course.

Is Emzek Academy's training HRD Corp claimable?

Yes. The Shariah Wealth Planner (SWP) programme is HRD Corp claimable, allowing eligible employers to claim training costs through the Human Resources Development Corporation (HRD Corp) levy. Speak to our team for help with the claim process and required documentation.

Does the course fee include the certification exam fee?

It depends on the programme. Some programmes, such as Shariah RFP Module 1 and the IFP® Full-Fledged Program, include exam fees. Others, such as the IFP® Challenge Status and SWP programmes, list the exam fee separately. Each programme page states clearly whether the exam fee is included.

How do I enroll in an Emzek Academy programme?

Choose your programme on our Programs page, then contact our team via WhatsApp or email for personalised guidance. Once you confirm your programme, submit the required documents and payment to secure your seat. Class sizes are limited, so early enrollment is recommended.

Does Emzek Academy offer one-on-one coaching?

Yes. Emzek Academy offers Personalized Coaching Sessions exclusively for IFP® Challenge Status participants who need extra help with Excel calculations or financial plan construction. Sessions are available one-on-one or in small groups of 3-5, online or in person, at RM 150 per hour.

All Emzek Academy trainers hold IFP® and ShRFP certifications and have over 10 years of experience in Shariah-compliant wealth management. Our team includes a Chartered Financial Consultant, PhD holders in Islamic Economics and Fiqh Muamalat, and licensed financial planners recognised by leading Islamic banks and Takaful operators.
