What to Expect From the Shariah Wealth Planner (SWP) Programme

The Shariah Wealth Planner (SWP) programme is Emzek Academy's flagship course, and the one most graduates credit for their exam success. Here's what a participant can expect from the 7-day, face-to-face programme.

Who it's for

SWP is designed for finance professionals preparing for the IFP® Challenge Status examination or the Shariah RFP Capstone module. It is a preparatory course, not a certification itself - the IFP® certification is awarded by IBFIM after you pass the official exam.

What the curriculum covers

  • Shariah foundations relevant to financial planning
  • Risk management and Takaful frameworks
  • Islamic investment principles and portfolio construction
  • Islamic legacy planning tools - hibah, wasiat and faraid
  • Professional ethics and full financial plan construction

How classes are run

Sessions combine instructor-led teaching with group discussions, case analysis, and hands-on workshops where participants build sample financial plans. A dedicated revision class and mock exams are scheduled before the official IFP® examination dates.

Extra support available

Participants who find Excel-based calculations or plan construction challenging can book Personalized Coaching Sessions - one-on-one or in small groups - at RM 150 per hour, available online or in person.

The SWP programme is HRD Corp claimable, runs in small class sizes, and has helped Emzek Academy graduates achieve a 90%+ passing rate. See our Programs page for upcoming intake dates.
